Playgrounds are a huge part of Four Discovery’s adventures. Our Chief Discovery Officer and our Chief Adventure Officer love a good playground. I believe they are the perfect place to have fun, learn, and discover. So, here is the first 4D playground review featuring one of our favorites, the playground at Elizabeth Porter Park in Marietta, GA.
Our playground reviews will be a top 10 list of what makes that playground worth a visit, or two, or three…or more!
The Elizabeth Porter Park Top 10:
- There’s a big play ground.
- There’s a small play ground.
- It’s near the Marietta Square, so before or after you play, head to the square for coffee at Cool Beans, candy at Rocket Fizz, or visit one of the many other stores and restaurants.
- There’s what we call, the “zip-line swing.” It’s a traditional swing attached to a track that you and your kids can ride.
- A favorite of Amos is the “snake swing.” It’s large rope that he loves to ride, especially with his big sister Kara.
- The big playground features numerous obstacles up in the air and down on the ground that include climbing, crossing, and crawling.
- The small playground is perfect for your little ones featuring activities like a pretend plane and slides (and it’s just steps away from the big play ground).
- The 4 big tunnel slides
- The tandem swings for mom or dad to swing with a kids or for siblings to swing together
- This might be the best part…there’s a SPLASH PAD next door!
