Disclaimer: I, well we, don’t know what we are doing. That’s why there’s a picture of Kara holding a bass. She probably named it Luke. We do know that we want to invite you along to learn and discover with us. Our family is renewed by adventure, big and small. Sometimes it’s a trip to the local playground, a hike, or something more. The reality is that with a four year old, everything is an adventure and an opportunity to discover. That four year old, Kara’s imagination makes any moment something grander. You see, a simple walk can quickly turn into a dinosaur hunt or on a short drive we often drive through dinosaur canyon where we are chased by velociraptors and t-rexes. Our living room can become a fortress against great, scary monsters. A hike can become a story about the journey of a beautiful princess (or the opportunity to stop every 3 feet to look at a leaf, tree, flower, or creature). And when you add one year old, Amos full of curiosity and wonder, discovery happens seemingly every moment of the day.
Perhaps, that’s what we want to do. We want to encourage your family to put yourselves in places where imagination leads to discovery, wonder, and awe. Beyond simple encouragement, we want to prepare your family and give your family the opportunity to go discover. We will blog about our hiking trips, playgrounds, museums, camping, and all kinds of adventures. These blogs will be a resource as you go out as a family (remember our lives are lived through the eyes of our kids.) AND we will create a community of kids, princesses, superheroes, dinosaur hunters seeking awe together through discovery.
Along the way we invite you to do these 3 things:
- Be Kind
- Be Bold
- Be Thankful
